The VIP Piano is an interactive object found in the lower level of the VIP Lounge on B Deck of the Magellan class starship in Starship Simulator.

Description

The piano is an upright model with a glossy black finish. It features 77 playable keys (Pitch Range from C0 to E6). Below the keyboard are three foot pedals, though these are currently non-functional in the game.

Interaction

Player interaction with Mouse

Players can interact with the piano manually in two ways:

  • Mouse Click Free Aim: Clicking directly on the piano keys with the mouse while aiming with the crosshair will play the corresponding note.
  • Mouse Click Precise Aim Holding E While looking at the piano Key to Freely move the mouse curser while keeping the camera still then clicking on the keys.


Piano MIDI Integration

The piano can be play with the use of a Midi enabled keyboard or controller. The Midi input interface muse be connected to the computer before launching Starship Simulator, the players can then use it to play the piano in-game.

The Midi Chanel range is from numbers 24 C0 to 100 E6.
