This guide explains how to use the Window Control UI found next to select windows aboard the starships in Starship Simulator. These Window Controls allow for controlling the polarization (window tint) or the window and on some windows with the installed feature to control the Scene Projection feature.

Interaction

To operate the UI:

  • Position your view so the cursor is over the desired button on the keypad screen.
  • Press Left Mouse Button to activate the button.
  • You can hold the E key to activate a movable mouse cursor overlay, which may make selecting specific buttons easier.

Basic Operation

The Windows Control UI has 2 basic functions;

Polarization

  • Select OFF or ON to select switch the state of the polarization.
  • Select or to change the level percenatge of the polarization intencity.
    • Selection may be changed while function is off but effect will not been seen until the function is enabled.

Scene Projection

Only on selected windows

  • Select OFF or ON to select switch the state of the Scene Projection.
    • The image brightness may be effected by the polarization effect. Recommended to turn off while in use.
  • Select or to change Scene Projection image.
    • Selection may be changed while function is off but effect will not been seen until the function is enabled.
