This tutorial explains how to Issue Commands on the Bridge of the UNSF Magellan in Starship Simulator.

How to Issuing Commands

1. Accessing Controls

  • Approach a station (chair) on the bridge. (Depending on the distance the player is from the Chair will determine what options are available.
  • Once point at the Station Press F

3. Using Command Interfaces

  • To interact with the buttons, menus, readouts, or other elements presented on the command interfaces, you must use Mouse Mode.
  • Press and hold the UI Interaction key (Default: E) to activate the mouse cursor.
  • Use the mouse to click on interface elements to monitor systems, issue commands, or access information.
  • Release the E key to deactivate the mouse cursor.

Issuing Commands (Overview)

While playing as a Command role, the Player can typically perform functions such as:

  • Spawn/Dismiss NPC's
  • Ask NPC's to set sensors range
  • Ask NPC's to set selected Command target as helm target.
  • Ask NPC's to engage and disengage the FLT drive as well as ask for full speed or 10%.
  • Ask NPC's to take the ship home (earth)
