A planetary surface is the term given to the outermost layer of a planet. They consist of a variety of landmarks and features, including geological landscapes such as mountains and hills, liquid bodies such as rivers and oceans, and lifeforms such as flora and fauna (if capable of supporting it). Planet surfaces are currently available for terrestrial planets. This gameplay system will work in tandum with away missions and planetary landings in future updates.
