This page is a Work in Progress as much of the lore/Development for the game is yet to be established.

This guide explains how to use the Lighting Control UI found aboard the starships in Starship Simulator. These Room Lighting Controls allow for controlling the rooms' light settings.

Example Room Lighting Control Panel

Interaction

To operate the UI:

  • Position your view so the cursor is over the desired button on the keypad screen.
  • Press Left Mouse Button to activate the button.
  • You can hold the Mouse Cursor Unlock (Default E key) to activate a movable mouse cursor overlay, which may make selecting specific buttons easier.

Basic Operation

The Room Lighting UI has three basic functions:

Condition

  • Select OFF or ON to connect or disconnect the electrical feed to the room's lights.

Brightness

  • Select or to change the brightness of the lights. The percentage is based on the maximum light output or luminosity.

Temperature

  • Select or to change the temperature of the light based on the Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT) scale. The lower the Temp (Kelvin) value, the warmer (yellowish) the light; the higher the Temp (Kelvin) value, the cooler (bluish) the light.
