Lore

The RM-84 model droid is designed to clean flooring on both starships and space stations. It is fully autonomous, returning to its charging and offloading station when required, and uses its AI capabilities to quickly and efficiently prioritise cleaning tasks.

In Game

RM-84 units can currently be found on B Deck, and elsewhere, although their operational areas will be expanded in the future.

Development History

RM-84 is due to be introduced in the 0.255 patch cycle. The working areas of the starship are intended to sustain real-time degradation through wear and tear, including to carpets and flooring. Even though yet to be fully implemented across the ship the first update carries out limited cleaning to guage its effectiveness as a simulation and evaluate drain, if any, upon playing it to the game's computational processes.

The RM-84 model number is a play on the word "Roomba".
