A shuttle (short for shuttlecraft) is a space vehicle designed for short-range transportation. They are often used to transport cargo and personnel between starships and other locations, including space stations and planet surfaces. Shuttles are stored in Shuttle Bays, which are often located in the aft regions of the ships.
