Lunara

Lunara is a luxury starship building company based on Earth's moon. Among the starships created for Lunara is the Caravella-class, which is a smaller vessel designed for Corporation space exploration missions.

Overview

Some known points about the Company:

• Lara Monteverde was the founder of the company, an Italian entrepreneur with links to Italian nobility. She inherited the family wealth (which had rumours linking it with The Mob) following her father's death. She devoted her newly found fortune to funding a Lunara mining operation on the moon. She had an obsession with mining rare minerals from the moon such as platinum.
• after successful mining operations the company started to make luxury ships as an offshoot venture. Eventually this became the main focus of the company.
• the current owner is Lara Monteverde, the granddaughter and namesake of the company's founder.
• the company's HQ is sited on the moon, notably featuring a statue of its founder outside.
• the Company Name is a derivative portmanteau word taken from the words Luna + Lara to make Lunara
