NOTICE: This page is a Work in Progress as much of the lore/Development for the game is yet to be established.
This page serves as a Tutorial for a specific feature or system within Starship Simulator.
Requirements
- Crewmembers
- Pilot/Helm Officer: A member of the operations department, the pilot/helm officer will be needed to control the ship's speed and direction of travel. An officer can be summoned by interact with the Helm's chair and selecting "Summon NPC".
- Sensor Officer/Operator: A member of the science department is required to operate the sensors. An officer can be summoned by interacting with the Sensor Station's chair and selecting "Summon NPC".
- Stations
- Helm: The helm is required to control the ship's speed and the direction of travel. It can usually be found in the forward section of the Bridge.
- Sensors Station: The sensors must be used to display star systems and their contents, allowing the player to decide on . It can usually be found as a port console on the bridge.
- Holo-Display The Holo-Display is required to visualise locations and decide on focus.
How to Command Ship Travel
It is advised to set up utilities and summon required NPCs before attempting the following instructions.
- 1. Sensors
- Interact with Sensor Operator
- Set desired Sensor Range. Medium Range is suggested if you wish to travel within the star system, whilst Long Range is suggested between star systems
- Set the desired display range with the Zoom Out and Zoom In commands.
- 2. Holo-Display
- Select Target on Holo-Display
- Select "Set Sensor Target"
- Select "Set Sensor Helm Target"
- 3. Helm
- Interact with Helm Chair
- Select "Nav to SNSR Target"
- Wait and enjoy the flight
