NOTICE: This page is a Work in Progress as much of the lore/Development for the game is yet to be established.

Standard Shutdown Procedure (Reactor Online)

A Deck Shutdown

  1. Offices & Conference Room: Enter the Captain’s Office, XO’s Office, and Conference Room. Action: Turn OFF all lights via their respective controls.
  2. Bridge Distributor: Locate the main distributor panel on the Bridge (often near the entrance). Action: Disconnect everything on this panel.

B Deck Shutdown

  1. VIP Lounge Area: Find the distributor panel associated with the VIP Lounge (reportedly near a door to its left). Action: Disable everything on this panel.
  2. Data Centre:
    1. Locate the panel labeled “Data Center Upper” (typically on the back wall, middle). Action: Disconnect everything.
    2. Locate all 8 distributor panels (likely 4 on the upper B Deck level and 4 on the lower C Deck level). Action: Disconnect everything on all 8 panels. (Note: The lowest panel on C Deck might be inoperable/black in some builds).

C Deck Shutdown

  1. Hallways: Locate all 9 distributor panels controlling lights and utilities in the main spoke hallways (typically 2 per quadrant hallway, plus 1 in the hallway near the Probe Facility). Action: Disconnect everything on each panel.

D Deck Shutdown

  1. Hallways: Locate all 12 distributor panels controlling lights and utilities in the spoke hallways (typically 3 per quadrant). Action: Disconnect everything on each panel. (Ignore the central reactor room structure for now).

E Deck Shutdown

  1. Hallways: Locate all 12 distributor panels controlling lights and utilities in the spoke hallways (typically 3 per quadrant). Action: Disconnect everything on each panel.

Conditional: Startup Capacitor Activation (Optional)

Perform this step ONLY if batteries have insufficient charge to complete the rest of the shutdown OR if attempting the full Battery Drain procedure later.

  1. G Deck - Start Capacitor Room: Action: Enable the Startup Capacitor systems (likely activating systems specifically for G Deck distributors).
  2. G Deck - Reactor Room: Go to the 4 G-Deck Quadrant Distributors. Action: Change the Input for each from "Deck Distributor" to Startup Distributor.
  3. D Deck, E Deck, F Deck Distributors: (This step seems counter-intuitive if just shutting down normally, potentially part of the drain procedure prep?) The guide mentions disconnecting distributors on D, E, F floors after enabling startup capacitor. Action: Navigate to D, E, and F deck engineering areas and Disconnect everything on the quadrant distributors (4 per deck, 12 total). (Clarification may be needed depending on context - standard shutdown vs drain prep).

F Deck Shutdown

  1. F Deck Hallways (Rings 1 & 2): Locate the 8 distributor panels titled “Distributor - F Deck Ring [1 or 2] [QUADRANT]” (4 panels in Ring 1, 4 panels in Ring 2). Action: Disconnect everything on all 8 panels.
  2. F Deck Maintenance Tunnels (Rings 3 & 4): Locate the 8 distributor panels titled “Distributor - F Deck Ring [3 or 4] [QUADRANT]”. Action: Disconnect everything on all 8 panels.
  3. F Deck Maintenance Tunnels (Ring 3 Area): While disabling Ring 3/4 distributors, also find the 8 Battery Array Distributor panels (usually located near the Ring 3 distributors). Action: Disconnect everything on these 8 panels. Important: Do NOT disconnect anything on the Battery Array Aggregator panels at this stage for a standard shutdown.

G Deck Shutdown (Reactor & Cryo)

  1. Reactor Room:
    1. Go to the dedicated distributor panels for major systems. Action: Disconnect everything on the panels for FTL, Sublight, Shields, Weapons, and Battery systems.
    2. Locate the panel labeled “Reactor Output Distributor”. Action: Disconnect everything.
    3. Go to the main reactor console. Action: Set Reactor Mode to Isolate.
    4. Action: Shut down the Vacuum Pump.
    5. Action: Shut down the reactor Field Coils.
    6. Go to the reactor core area. Action: Close all 6 large valves surrounding the reactor.
  2. Cryo Storage Room:
    1. Action: Shut OFF all Chillers (He, He-3, Deuterium - 6 total).
    2. Action: Shut OFF all Pumps (He, He-3, Deuterium - 3 total).
    3. Action: Close all tank and supply valves (He, He-3, Deuterium - 12 total).
  3. G Deck Maintenance Tunnels: Find all 8 distributors for lights/utilities. Action: Disconnect everything.
  4. Reactor Room: Locate the panel labeled “Distributor - Reactor Room”. Action: Disconnect everything.

Final Power Down

  1. All Decks (G, F, E, D): Navigate back up through the engineering sections. Action: Disconnect everything on the Quadrant Distributor panels on each floor (4 per deck, 16 total). (Note: D, E, F might have been done earlier if prepping for battery drain).
  2. G Deck Reactor Room: Locate the 4 main Deck Distributor panels (1 per quadrant). Action: Disconnect everything.
  3. F Deck Maintenance Tunnels: Locate the 8 Battery Array Aggregator panels (2 per quadrant). Action: Disconnect everything.
  4. F Deck Battery Rooms: Enter all 8 rooms.
    1. Action: On each of the 48 Battery Array consoles, Disconnect both the Aggregator output and the Distributor input.
    2. Bonus Objective (Optional & Tedious): To fully power down the array panels themselves, you must also physically unmount all 480 individual battery cells (10 per array), or wait for them to completely discharge.
  5. G Deck Start Capacitor Room: If you activated the startup capacitors earlier, return here. Action: Disable everything.

Standard Shutdown Procedure Complete. The ship should now be in a Cold & Dark state, similar to the start option, though residual battery charge may remain unless cells were unmounted or drained.

Advanced: Full Battery Drain Procedure (NEEDS TESTING)

This procedure aims to fully deplete all battery power for an ultimate dark state, but takes significantly longer.

  1. F Deck Battery Rooms: Go to each of the 48 Battery Array panels. Action: Disconnect the Battery Distributor Input feed ONLY. Leave the Aggregator Output connected.
  2. Wait (Approx. 40+ minutes): Allow the ship's systems (primarily the still-active Aggregator panels and minimal background draw) to drain the batteries until they are nearly empty (e.g., ~1/3 full or less). Power draw is low, so this takes a long time. Monitor charge levels across different quadrants as drain rates may vary.
  3. Shutdown Upper Decks (A, B, C, D, E): Follow steps 1-5 from the Standard Shutdown procedure (disconnecting Bridge, VIP, Data Centre, and Hallway distributors on A, B, C, D, E Decks).
  4. Shutdown F Deck Distributors: Follow step 6 from the Standard Shutdown procedure (disconnecting hallway distributors in Rings 1 & 2).
  5. Shutdown F Deck Tunnel Distributors: Follow step 7 (first part) from the Standard Shutdown procedure (disconnecting tunnel distributors in Rings 3 & 4).
  6. Enable Startup Capacitor (G Deck Power): Follow the "Conditional: Startup Capacitor Activation" steps from the Standard Shutdown (Enable capacitor, switch G Deck Quad Distributors to Startup power input).
  7. Disconnect Upper Deck Quad Distributors (D, E, F): Follow the second part of the "Conditional" step (Disconnect everything on the 12 quadrant distributors on D, E, F decks).
  8. Disconnect G Deck Deck Distributors: Follow step 11 from the Standard Shutdown procedure (Disconnect everything on the 4 main Deck Distributors in the G Deck Reactor Room).
  9. Disconnect F Deck Aggregators: Follow step 12 from the Standard Shutdown procedure (Disconnect everything on the 8 Battery Array Aggregator panels in the F Deck tunnels).
  10. Disconnect G Deck Tunnel Distributors (Partial): Locate the 8 distributors in the G Deck tunnels. Action: Disconnect everything on 7 of them, but leave “G Deck Ring 1 Fwd Distributor” connected for now.
  11. Wait (Final Battery Drain): Allow the remaining connected systems (Aggregator panels via the Battery Array outputs) to completely drain the batteries. This can take a very long time.
  12. Final F Deck Disconnects: Once batteries are fully depleted:
    1. Go to each of the 48 Battery Array panels. Action: Disconnect the Aggregator Output.
    2. (Optional Bonus): Dismount all 480 battery cells.
  13. Final G Deck Shutdown:
    1. Follow steps 8, 9, and 10 from the Standard Shutdown (disconnecting FTL/Sublight/etc panels, Reactor Output Distributor, setting reactor to Isolate, shutting down pumps/coils, closing valves, shutting down Cryo Storage).
    2. Find and Disconnect everything on the last remaining G Deck tunnel distributor (“G Deck Ring 1 Fwd Distributor”).
    3. Disconnect everything on “Distributor - Reactor Room”.
    4. Disconnect everything on the 4 G Deck Quadrant Distributors.
    5. Disable everything on the Startup Capacitors if they were enabled.

Battery Drain Procedure Complete. The ship should be in a fully unpowered state.
