Shuttle

A shuttle (short for shuttlecraft) is a space vehicle designed for short-range transportation. They are often used to transport starship personnel between ships or to planet surfaces. Aboard both the Magellan and Caravella class starships, shuttles are stored in Shuttle Bays located in the aft regions of the ships.

Development

Testing for shuttles began during patch cycle 0.226, with initial versions seeing whether they could exist independent to a starship in the Galaxy.[1]
