XO's Office

The Executive Officer/XO's office aboard a Magellan Class vessel

The XO's Office (short for Executive Officer's Office) is a dedicated space for the Executive Officer of a starship. It is often used as a work location for the captain, either to perform duties or meet with people privately.

Layout and Design

On Magellan Class starships, the XO's Office is located on the port side of A Deck between the Captain's Office and VIP Lounge. It is connected to the rest of the ship via the A Deck corridor.

The office is square-shaped, with the XO's desk located on its aft side with three chairs for personnel to sit at. Either side of the desk are two plant pots. On its forward wall, a shelf can be found decorated with either a globe or seasonal decorations. On its outer wall, the office has a window overlooking the port side of the ship, with controls for it located on the right-hand side of it.

Features

Desk

A L-shaped desk for the executive officer can be found in the aft region of the room. This currently lacks gameplay functions, though will likely feature a computer for the captain to perform duties at in future versions. The desk features a number of props, including a mug, a tablet and a book. A number of reports can also be found on the desk, but cannot be interacted with.

The desk features three chairs to sit at, one of the executive officer on its aft side, and two for other personnel on its forward side. These can currently be sat at and taken out of the room.

Shelving

A shelf can be found on the forward wall of the room. It contains multiple props which can be picked up and interacted with, including two vases, two potted plants, and a decorative bowl. The shelf also features a larger plant pot and twelve volumes of Enciclopedia Natural Ilustrada, neither of which can be currently interacted with. In future versions, the shelf will likely feature more props or allow customisation options.

Window

Like the Conference Room and Captain's Office, the window of the office is fitted with polarising glass and holographic technology. These can be altered from the Window Controls panel, which can alter the scene displayed.
