VIP Lounge
NOTICE: This page is a Work in Progress as much of the lore/Development for the game is yet to be established.
The VIP Lounge is the main recreational area for executive crew members and passengers on starships. They are used as either the main dining area or to host events among the high-ranking crew members.
Layout and Design
On Magellan-class starships, the VIP lounge is located in the furthest aft regions on A Deck and B Deck. A set of windows are located in the outer wall, allowing observation of the ship's upper aft region. A Deck of the VIP lounge is connected to the A Deck corridor and the command centre of the ship. B Deck of the room is connected to Ring 1 of the deck and kitchen facilities. The starboard region of the B Deck region includes a small corridor connected to a storage room and the VIP bathroom.
On B Deck, the VIP lounge contains a number of tables, a piano and a bar. On A Deck, there are two tables located near the inner wall and a balcony area overlooking the outer B Deck region. Both levels are connected together by a glass lift and spiral staircase.
Features
Tables and Seating
Multiple tables are located with at least four chairs. The only function is to sit and set props on the tables. Most tables are decorated with small plant pots in the centre of them.
Lift and staircase
A lift and staircase is located in the centre of the VIP lounge. It provides access from each level to the other, and serves as the only traversal method from A Deck to another part of the ship. The lift is currently automatic, travelling between the two decks in 10 second intervals.
Bar
A small bar is located in the inner port side of the VIP deck. It contains several drinks. In future updates, this may be tended to by a member of the stewards department.
Piano
A small piano is located on the port wall of the VIP deck. It can be played and interacted with by player characters. From development build 0.225.0.20, the piano can be played through MIDI input support.
Pool Table
A pool table was added in development build 0.225.0.21. It currently has no gameplay functionality, though is planned to be playable in the future.
Chess Set
A interactable chess set and table added in development build 0.255.0.104. The set is a playable physics object with the use of the mouse.
