Probe Storage

NOTICE: This page is a Work in Progress as much of the lore/Development for the game is yet to be established.

The Probe Storage area is a room designed to store and launch probes. Although it currently lacks functions, it will be usable in future patches to safely gather samples and perform in-depth planetary surveys.

Overview

The Probe Storage area is an empty room. In future updates, it is expected to be outfitted with interactive equipment and unique gameplay functionality related to its scientific discipline.

Location

On a Magellan Class vessel, the Probe Storage area is found in the aft area of C Deck, as part of the ship's primary science and research facilities. It can be accessed via the aft-corridor leading to Ring 2.

Planned Functionality

Once fully implemented, the Probe Storage area will likely offer specialized equipment needed to create and maintain probes. It will be operated by the operations department, with Deck Crew members assigned to run the room. The Probe Storage facilities will include consoles and 3D printers. It will also be used to collect samples, which can be sent to Science Labs to perform studies and experiments, contributing to the science department's capabilities.
