A crewman is the term given to an enlisted member of crew aboard a starship. The term is often used as a rank for entry-level members, often those who have not gone through formal training with the United Nations Space Fleet. Crewmen are assigned low-level duties depending on their department and role, for example a operations crewman can be assigned to the Helm station on the bridge whilst a science crewman can be assigned to a lab to perform experiments.

- In real-life, a crewman is the generic term for a crew member used on a variety of vehicles such as aircrafts, naval vessels and military vehicles. However, science fiction (most famously Star Trek) often uses the term as the lowest rank of officer akin to a seaman: personnel have not gone through formal training with their respective organisation.
- In modern times, some organisations use the terms "crewperson" or "crewmember" as a gender-neutral version of the term.
