Engineering
The engineering department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems, including propulsion, defensive systems, auxiliary systems, and support systems for crew and cargo. Engineering staff will wear orange clothing.
Roles
Chief Engineer
The highest ranking engineer placed in charge of the department. The Chief Engineer will have to manage engineering tasks and repairs, assigning tasks to crew members to complete them. The role is often assigned to a Lieutenant or Lieutenant Commander
Engineer
An member of the engineering department. Engineers will be assigned tasks to complete, such as maintenance of Magellan systems or replacement of components. Tasks will be assigned to them by the Chief Engineer. Engineers often rank as Ensigns or Petty Officers.
